In response to recent research, Hagar's Trauma Recovery Centre recently began a new program for boys who are victims of sexual exploitation and abuse.

The Trauma Recovery Centre offers intensive care to children:

  • Caring house parents love and support them and provide a sense of healthy family and community.
  • Counseling and psychosocial therapy
  • Medical services

Every child in Hagar's Trauma Recovery Centre also goes to school. Many have had little or no education and spend time at Hagar's CLC to catch up. Education is a powerful tool that enables children to break the cycle of poverty and abuse from which they have come and integrate successfully into society as well-adjusted and responsible adults.

The Trauma Recovery Centre is a critical stage in recovery as it builds resilience and enables children to reintegrate into community again.
