Hagar On-Time Apparel and Accessories (HOT) began was born in 1996. Then known as Hagar Crafts, and operating out of Hagar's Women's Shelter, HOT provided women with income generating opportunities.

Over the years, HOT became a professional social enterprise that produced mid-sized orders of fair trade handbags, totes and other items while provide safe working conditions and living wages. HOT proved to be an important stepping stone for women from Hagar's programs who may never have had formal work experience. The technical skills they gained enabled many to move onto other jobs or open their own businesses.

In mid-2009, Hagar sold HOT to STOPStart, an Australian-based company whose values align with those of Hagar's. STOPStart will continue to be a strong Hagar partner, employing women from Hagar programs and developing relationships with existing customers.
