Banging away with impressive synchronized rhythm, the kids at Hagar's Community Learning Centre's after-school program recently put on drum show showing off their newly acquired percussion skills.

The event was the culmination of two weeks of after-school workshops led by a group of students from Singapore based, City College.  City College students taught CLC students English and percussion lessons, including how to transform everyday items (like rubbish bins) into musical instruments. 

It was pure cacophony but clearly pure enjoyment as well! After the performance on their last afternoon, the kids' faces beamed with pride as they each received an award from City College for their participation.

I'm sure they'll be drumming away for months to come!
